faithpellantWe are delighted to offer a nursery for the youngest among us. The nursery is held during the 10am service weekly, and for special services, including holidays and church events. Filled with lots of color, fun toys and games, the nursery is a place where our young children can continue developing social skills and enjoy playing in a safe, loving environment.  It is open to children aged 6 weeks – 3 years.

Our nursery supervisor is Laurel Pellant.  She has been a member of St. Paul’s her entire life, and is currently in school at Jefferson College of Health Sciences.

If you have any questions about the nursery, or would like to volunteer in any way, please contact the Youth & Family Ministries Coordinator.

Sunday School

Sunday School is offered for children preschool aged (3 years old) through georgehening5th grade, utilizing the Lesson Plans That Work from The Episcopal Church. Classes meet on Sundays from September through May.  Each Sunday opens with a singing session beginning at 9:30am, with a rolling dropoff for parents until 10am.  At 10am the teachers take their classes back to their rooms for their weekly lessons and then they all rejoin the service at the Peace. Once the children re-enter, two of them will serve as Junior Ushers during the Offertory, with all children having this opportunity throughout the year.

Many volunteers give of their time and talents to teach and serve our children, and there is plenty of fun to go around!  These are our 2017-18 teachers:

  • Preschool Rotation 1:  Becky Cairns, Katy Hening
  • Preschool Rotation 2:
  • K-2nd Rotation 1:  Sarah Williams, Kathy Shelton
  • K-2nd Rotation 1:  Kristen Huffman, Mary Dick
  • 3-5th Rotation 1:  Brad Pendergraph, John Bradshaw
  • 3-5th Rotation 1:  Clare Peters, Kristin Stowe
