faithpellantWe are delighted to offer a nursery for the youngest among us. The nursery is held during the 10am service weekly, and for special services, including holidays and church events. Filled with lots of color, fun toys and games, the nursery is a place where our young children can continue developing social skills and enjoy playing in a safe, loving environment.  It is open to children aged 6 weeks – 3 years.

Our nursery supervisor is Laurel Pellant.  She has been a member of St. Paul’s her entire life, and is currently in school at Jefferson College of Health Sciences.

If you have any questions about the nursery, or would like to volunteer in any way, please contact the Youth & Family Ministries Coordinator.

Sunday School

Sunday School is offered for children preschool aged (3 years old) through georgehening5th grade, utilizing the Lesson Plans That Work from The Episcopal Church. Classes meet on Sundays from September through May beginning at 9:45am., and the children and teachers join the church service at the Peace. Each Sunday opens with a brief chapel service, including a scripture reading, contributing an offering to give to a specific non-profit, and learning the Lord's Prayer and Doxology. Each child has the opportunity to serve as the Junior Acolyte or Junior Usher during chapel and in the church service for the Offertory.

Many volunteers give of their time and talents to teach and serve our children, and there is plenty of fun to go around!  These are our 2016-17 teachers:

  • Preschool:  Kristen Huffman and Sarah Dick
  • Kindergarten-1st:  Sarah Williams and Kathy Shelton
  • 2nd-3rd:  Gail Walkley and Amanda Hoffman
  • 4th-5th:  Jonathan Dick, John Bradshaw and Chris Huffman
