PARISH ACTIVITIES |
Opportunities for fun and fellowship are planned throughout the year to feed
the community that thrives here. Contact: Sarah Lusk
Cookie Decorating (Easter and Christmas)
For children of all ages, a chance to come together and decorate (and eat!)
cookies – for the fun of it!
Easter Egg Hunt
Our teens hide 'em, our children find 'em!
Mother's Day Tea
Put on by the SPY Youth Group, we celebrate all the women of St. Paul's who are
mothers, have mothers, or both! The youth decorate the Parish Hall and serve
coffee, punch, cookies, and cakes after the 10:00 a.m. service on Mother's Day.
Father's Day Ice Cream Social
Put on by the SPY Youth Group, we celebrate the men of St. Paul's who are
fathers, have fathers, or both! The celebration takes place in the courtyard,
and the youth scoop out ice cream and sherbet plus all the toppings you could
want after the 10:00 am service on Father's Day!
Parish Picnic
Every fall the parish comes together for an evening of food, entertainment and
fun. The SPY Youth Group plans games and face painting for the children, the
grill is fired up, and there's plenty of music and laughter. We end the evening
with a candle-light service.
Advent Activities
Each Advent activities are offered to help us “get in the spirit.” We've made
Advent wreaths, made ornaments, and always decorate the parish Christmas tree.
The annual Christmas pageant is a much-loved tradition at St. Paul's. Held on
the Sunday before Christmas during the 10:00 a.m. service, this beautiful
service of readings and tableau scenes truly heightens the anticipation of the
coming celebration of Christ's birth. The Outdoor Live Nativity is offered by
the SPY youth at 6:00 p.m. that same evening in the Tower Entrance of the
church.
Women's Retreat
A retreat is offered for the women of the parish in the fall at Phoebe Needles
Retreat & Conference Center in Callaway, VA. This 24-hour retreat is a time of
fellowship, reflection, worship, and inspiration. This year's retreat
will be October 12-13 and cost is $25/person. More information will be
available soon. Contact: Gail Walkley

followed by Compline.

and more!
